Levels soon start getting hard, though, with large rocks falling down onto your pathway and stopping everything in their tracks. As well as jumping on top of the trucks, you can jump on the back of them for a height boost allowing you to clear several trucks at once. Clustertrucks first world starts fairly easy and has you jumping over trucks with minimal effort. Good soundtrack or subliminal messages? You decide. I found the music would will me on to get one more level in before I shut down the game and helped me to feel immersed in the environment. Each level has it’s own variation and I found myself turning my speakers up, rather than turning them down.

Sometimes when I’m reviewing a game, I’ll turn the sound down to listen to a podcast or my own music. The soundtrack for Clustertruck, is awesome. Aesthetics of the game are minimal and I’d more than likely be saying the same thing if I was running the game on a potato powered calculator. There’s a few settings in game that allow you to turn off things like bloom and V-sync though. There’s not much more to say about performance, as the settings are the standard unity ones. Hopefully, this is something that will be fixed on launch. I never experienced any crashes while playing, but starting up the game was a nightmare and more often than not, crashed to the desktop. What I did experience though was a lot of crashing. Performance on my machine was great and I didn’t experience any frame drops or hitching. You, the hero, or a guy who’s finally realised transporting cargo over dangerous terrain isn’t worth it, must jump, dodge and weave your way to the finish line.
Clustertruck devs mess with streamer drivers#
It even comes without the rubbish plot! Clustertruck is a game about truck drivers who’ve never driven a truck before and are completely oblivious to their immediate doom. I also upload all my stream playthroughs on this channel: /door/QIi. I hope that helps clear up some of the confusion.
Clustertruck devs mess with streamer code#
These commands were only used by the developer, and I'd assume they did that by simply telling the code to only acknowledge those lines in Twitch chat if it came from that specific account. So when the developers joined the stream they began typing specific commands in the chat, like commands that turned the truck purple, or changed the gravity. Basically, all the game does is look at the Twitch chat, and knows to detect certain words or phrases, and that's why people are able to vote and their votes get detected. Each viewer can vote on one of three options, and one of those options gets picked randomly. Clustertruck has Twitch integration, which is why that bar appears at the top of the stream. Some people seem confused as to how the developers could've modified the game in the way they did, so I'll try to give a run down of how it worked. Catch me live at /Shafournee ! I stream every Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 7pm - 11pm EST! EDIT: Thanks to everyone who has watched, commented, and followed so far! It means a lot! You guys are awesome! Click "see more" for an explanation on how the developers did this.
